We wanted to create a sturdy chair, with a unique shape and an unrivalled comfort. That is why we chose the finest materials and a shape that is able to transform every space into an unforgettable setting.
UNIQUE ITALIAN DESIGN
The Emma chair was designed by Italian designer Nicola Cacco exclusively for Mobili Fiver and is entirely made in Italy.
THE DESIGNER
“During the creative process, we need fun and a touch of healthy madness to give character to projects.”
Nicola Cacco founded his studio in 2001 with the aim of offering companies high-end design, especially soft seating, living and office chairs.
He is able to range from concept design to engineering thanks to the technical and artistic know-how developed during his training and career. He is a lover of clean and soft shapes and knows how to make the most of them in order to enhance materials. In this way, he can offer comfortable and welcoming sensations through his projects.
THE DESIGN
How did you find the inspiration for the Emma chair?
"The inspiration for the Emma chair arose from an idea of shared conviviality. The charm of gathering around a table for an aperitif party in the garden, an important dinner, or a breakfast at the bar."
"The straight lines that contrast with the curves, were proportioned to make the design balanced both in form and thickness."
How did the design process take place?
"Like any chair, the design process is very complex: creating a product with low thickness and reduced weight contrasts with the need for a solid and safe chair."
The great design team made the project even more unique. The moments that marked this project were the meetings with Mobili Fiver, where from the very beginning the synergy and harmony in the design phase have been matched by the excellence of a company cut out for big goals.”
