Furniture Bonus: 50% tax deduction

The so-called "Furniture Bonus" has also been confirmed for 2026.
Specifically, the 50% IRPEF income tax deduction on a maximum spend of €5,000 can be claimed by those who, up to 31 December 2026, incur expenses for the purchase of furniture and/or large household appliances intended to furnish a property subject to building renovation works started on or after 1 January 2024.
The deduction must be split among those entitled in 10 equal annual instalments.

What documents are required?

Proof of payment

bank transfer receipt, transaction confirmation (for credit or debit card payments), account debit documentation;

Purchase invoices for the goods

must specify the nature, type and quantity of the goods and services purchased

Who is eligible?

To benefit from the incentive, the start date of the works must be prior to the date on which expenses for the purchase of furniture and large household appliances are incurred. The works start date can be proven by any required administrative permits or notices under building regulations, or by the prior notice to the local health authority (ASL) indicating the works start date.
Transport and assembly costs for purchased goods can also be included in the total eligible expenses, provided they were paid using the payment methods required to claim the deduction (bank transfer, credit or debit card).
To obtain the deduction, payments must be made by bank transfer or debit/credit card (to trace the transaction), and the total paid must match the amount shown on the relevant invoice. Payments by cheque, cash or other means are NOT permitted.

I'm eligible for the Furniture Bonus — what do I need to do?

When placing an order, during user registration, you must enter your billing details and Tax Code. If billing details or Tax Code are NOT entered at the time of purchase, it will NOT be possible to amend the invoice once it has been issued.
Please note: the details of the account holder (invoice recipient) must match the details of the account used for payment (bank account or card).

>> If you wish to pay by Bank Transfer, you must include the Order Number in the payment reference (the number shown in the order confirmation email).
In this case, the process is as follows: place your order on the website and select Bank Transfer as the payment method.
We will wait for the funds to arrive in our account (usually within 2 to 3 days) and then dispatch the items (according to the date shown on the product page). On the next working day after receiving the transfer, you will receive a fiscal invoice by email.
A "dedicated" bank transfer is no longer required, as confirmed by the Italian Revenue Agency (a standard bank transfer is sufficient).

>> If you wish to pay by Credit Card or PayPal, proceed with your order and complete the payment immediately. The invoice will be sent following receipt of payment (within 2 days). Items will be dispatched according to the date shown on the product page at the time of ordering.

>> If you wish to pay with Scalapay or Klarna, proceed with your order and pay the first instalment immediately; the invoice will follow. In this case, you will need to present both the invoice issued by us and a bank statement showing the instalment charges to the tax authorities.

!!PLEASE NOTE!!
The invoice you receive will NOT include any specific wording (adding "Furniture Bonus" to the invoice is optional, NOT a legal requirement).
For the Furniture Bonus, a dedicated bank transfer is NO longer required, as confirmed by the Italian Revenue Agency: "If payment is made by bank transfer, it is not necessary to use the one (subject to withholding tax) specifically set up by banks and Poste S.p.a. for building renovation expenses" (page 6 of the Italian Revenue Agency guide).
